Thirty seven members attended the February meeting at Moss Creek with a display of cars that would make any one green with envy! The excellent presentation and members comments was “Driving Young America”, and if you were not there don’t worry you will be hearing more about this program throughout the year.

There is a new procedure for any change in your address or Emails.
PLEASE NOTE: All communication for these items and lunch/dinner bookings will be done through Bill Neidhardt, the new Membership Chairperson. Bill has been filling this role for some time but some of the members still contact various Board Members with lunch bookings etc which makes it difficult to obtain a reliable count etc.
SO AS FROM THE RECEIPT OF THIS NOTICE ALL QUESTIONS, CHANGE OF MEMBER INFORMATION AND LUCH/DINNER BOOKINGS WILL BE DONE THROUGH BILL> HIS EMAIL: bneidhardt@roadrunner.com.

We are going to visit the Eight Air force Museum in Savannah in March. This will be our March meeting. NOTE The Date..Saturday March 20th. The group package including lunch and the two hour guided tour will cost $18 per person. Those who wish to go must be at the Museum by 10.30 AM. We need conformation no later than March 10th to order the lunch and the private dinning room. NOTE THIS DATE. AND THE NEED TO CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDENCE.
Conformation through our Membership Chair Bill Neidhardt.

The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for April 21st and as it’s a special event it will be an evening dinner meeting. The location will be advised closer to the date.

Our membership continues to grow, on the morning of the February meeting I received a phone call from an interested car buff who had seen our Web Site, asking how he could join. Obviously the answer was simple, come to today’s lunch and he did. Further more he also joined the club and we welcome him and of course his wife and car! (Note the order of presentation; a few years ago I made the mistake of introducing my car first at a meeting. I am still being reminded of that evening!)

We still have six members who have not paid their 2010 dues, so may I gently nudge them and ask that you make Steve, our Treasure happy and send a check ASAP.
I would be remiss not to mention the excellent job that Steve has done for the club this past year. We were paying for Insurance coverage that we did not need, paying various other so-called commitments that were not required etc. Steve took on the task of sorting out these payments and the club is now about $2000.00 better off through his efforts.
Nice job Steve.

Some members have brought to my attention the Auto Exhibition that is being held in Atlanta from March 21st through to June 20th. This exhibition was featured in New York City last year and is due to go on to the West Coast this summer.
The display contains Alfa, Bugatti, Cadillac, Duisenberg, Ferrari, Jaguar, Mercedes, Packard, Porsche, and Tucker. Included in the display are cars once owned by Clark Gable and Steve McQueen.
It has been suggested that some of our members might like to have an over night stay in Atlanta and visit the exhibition. If you are interested let us know as yet we have not selected a date for such a visit.
If we could get a group we would enjoy group rates for entry.

There are speakers arranged for the May and June meetings but I need someone for July.
If you know of an interesting presenter please let me know.
We also plan a rally; make that a modest rally, for June. Nothing serious just a fun event.

With luck the spring weather will soon be with us and we can get the tops down and hit the road.

See you next month at the Eighth Air force Museum.
