Twenty six members sat down for lunch at Moss Creek on Wednesday 23rd followed by an excellent presentation by Bryan Puffinburger of The Carriage Shop in Bluffton, on the dangers of not looking at your car insurance. In short READ BETWEEN THE LINES before you lay out the big bucks for you auto coverage.

He gave the gathering some interesting fasts about the way that some insurance companies cut back on the money for repairs and in some cases insist that the repair shop use secondhand replacement parts rather than new units. The presentation was both instructive and educational. Nice job Brian.

Regretfully the intended drive scheduled for this Saturday had to be called off due to the lack of numbers. I suspect that the current heat wave had a lot to do with a summer drive into the country with or without the top down!
As is the custom we will not meet in August as it’s a local holiday time and many of our members simply take off for cooler locations. If you take a look at the Web Site you will see a few changes and also remember that you can advertise your unwanted car trinkets through this facility. Cars and or bits of cars are always of interest. I have, as my wife will confirm, purchased more junk on Car Club web sites than through normal retail outlets. Most of it will eventually return to the For Sale Section on EBay or elsewhere!

Our next meeting is scheduled for July 21st at Moss Creek, usual time for lunch.

We had quite a display of cars on the 23rd including several that we had not seen before like a nice MGTD and the Alfa that Mario now drives. Both cars well worth a serious look.
Your Board met last week and had a heart to heart talk with the new Manager of Moss Creek re the type of meal that is offered etc. The end result was a rather delightful lunch served on the 23rd so my only comment is Keep Up the Good Work, its was certainly appreciated as I saw members returning for a second helping!

Bob is working on the suggestion that the club consider a trip to Europe next June for the M/Carlo races. I will say no more at the moment except if it happens Bob I want to be the first on the plane!
